KOODESIGN was honored to be featured in a case study titled KOODESIGN: Balancing Design Priorities Among Different Stakeholders for the prestigious Harvard Business School and the HKUST Thompson Center for Business Case studies.
Developed by Prof. Ronald LAU and Joseph Santana Fernandez, the case study examines KOODESIGN's collaboration with Eaton on the development of an MATSN Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), a winner of iF Design ward 2023 for the Chinese and Asia Pacific market.
The study highlights the navigation and alignment of Eaton’s design standards and manufacturing logistics in China, and explores topics like Design for Manufacturing (DfM), product-market fit, and leveraging customer feedback for long-term success.
Approached by Dr. Michael Chen to participate, Larry was proud to share KOODESIGN’s unique approach to balancing stakeholder priorities. While Larry managed the design and production side, Natalie Chan ensured smooth project management and alignment with business objectives.
This partnership with Eaton provided valuable insights into managing cross-border collaborations and showcased KOODESIGN’s commitment to exceeding expectations and delivering successful solutions. We are proud that this case study now serves as a learning tool for business school students!
