Introducing MOB_E, a mobile electricity/ power generator designed by KOODESIGN and KOJISOFT for the Hong Kong Electric Company. MOB_E is engineered to supply electricity in rural areas, such as construction sites, hiking trails, and other locations that lack regular power supply. Each unit is equipped with two power cells containing energy harvested from end-of-life (EOL) electric vehicle batteries.
This sustainable design leverages depleted EV batteries, extracting the remaining power to transfer into a mobile battery cell installed in a transportable cart. As Hong Kong Electric transitions to a fleet of EVs, MOB_E ensures that even as battery cells deplete, the residual energy is effectively utilized, reducing waste and supporting green initiatives.
Each MOB_E transporter unit contains two sets of 30V lithium-ion battery modules for power supply in rural outdoor conditions. A touchscreen control panel is designed for monitoring the device. The metal alloy body is designed to withstand outdoor use and is weatherproofed.
