The Stealth line of heads is the most advanced in lacrosse. The Stealth Core lacrosse head is designed to be legal for play at all levels of NOCAE lacrosse standards. The challenge was to design an affordable “workhorse head,” a lacrosse head suitable for all player types and positions. Its reinforced sidewall construction maximizes stiffness. The patented Reflex technology allows players to customize their offset for the optimal throwing and shooting angle for all pocket types.
Providing sufficient stiffness and the ability to perform ball tricks were the requirements for designing the Launch 2.0 head. A full range of design concepts was generated to explore variations in the design outlook. The aesthetics of the lacrosse head is an important component in establishing the identity of Easton Lacrosse among its competitors. The Easton branding element is integrated into the partitions on the sidewalls as part of the structural construction. The sidewall is a crucial part of designing the head. A recessed channel on each side of the head has to be sculpted deep enough for performing ball tricks. Both channels need to have enough space for the lacrosse ball to land and dock when players are competing in the fields. On the other hand, the head itself needs to have sufficient stiffness after much material is removed from both sidewalls to create the side channels. Rather than having multiple partitions on the sidewall, a single stiff band is recessed and placed on each side to maintain sufficient stiffness and provide enough space for sculpting the channels.
